Plan a Visit for a little

Hands-on History

The Cedar Creek Grist Mill is a historic, water-powered, grain-grinding mill, first built in 1876. Visit the mill and discover a working museum, where volunteers provide demonstrations of how the mill still runs today... and take home a bag of fresh-milled flour or cornmeal!

Volunteer

The Cedar Creek Grist Mill is 100% non-profit, and 100% run by volunteers. Therefore, we rely on friendly community members to keep this working museum staffed. We need apprentice millers, tour guides and generally helpful hands for weekend shifts, special events, and maintenance/restoration. Our volunteers welcome visitors from around the world as they work the mill and answer questions about this national historic landmark.
